Michael Joseph Arroyo (born January 9, 1985), better known by his stage name Mike Adam (formerly Prolifik), is an Albanian-American radio and television personality, ''Popstar!'' magazine columnist, and former hip-hop artist.
He can be heard on 96.5 AMP Radio in Philadelphia,〔().〕 92.3 AMP Radio in New York City,〔().〕 Wild 101 in Boise, Idaho,〔().〕 and 107.5 KZL in Greensboro, North Carolina.〔().〕
Adam was previously a music correspondent on the television shows ''VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown''〔().〕 and ''Inside Edition'',〔().〕 and has been seen frequently on the Music Choice network as well.
==Career==
Adam spent the majority of his radio career with iHeartMedia, having hosted nights on Hartford, Connecticut's WKSS/Kiss 95.7 for several years, then nights on Philadelphia's Q102 until being laid off in August 2014.〔().〕 Adam decided to drop his former stage name, Prolifik, soon after landing in Philadelphia.〔().〕
While with iHeart, Adam was a part of its RCHR Premium Choice syndicated programming. Some of the stations he could be heard on across the country via voice-tracking included Boston's Kiss 108, Washington, D.C.'s Hot 99.5, Atlanta's Wild 105.7 & 96.7, Baltimore's Z104.3, Austin, Texas's 102.3 The Beat, Phoenix, Arizona's 104.7 Kiss-FM, and others.
CBS Radio-owned 96.5 AMP Radio in Philadelphia is his flagship station. He can be heard Monday through Friday, 3-7 p.m. Adam's weekend shifts on sister station 92.3 AMP Radio in NYC are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In July 2011, after 10 weeks of fan voting, RadioFacts.com named Adam, also known as Prolifik, the number-one DJ in the country.〔().〕
Adam's first job in television was as an entertainment reporter on Hartford, Connecticut's CW-affiliate, WCCT-TV, where he was nominated for a regional Emmy Award for his work on the station.〔().〕 His first national television break happened when Mark Cuban brought him on board the newly launched AXS TV as its East Coast correspondent. Adam has also been seen on Fuse, Epix, VH1, Music Choice, The Movie Loft,〔().〕 and locally on Philadelphia's WPHL-TV.
In January 2013, Adam (alongside co-host Hayley Marie Norman) hosted a two-part music special ''Real Music Live'' on NBC-owned television stations. Markets included New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Miami.〔().〕
